On May of 2016, Westlake’s Varsity FRC Team2468 created FIRST Signing Day with their 30 graduating team members. They were inspired by the tradition observed by sports teams and athletes across the nation. FIRST Signing Day has become a national initiative where seniors in FIRST sign a letter of intent and officially announces their plans for after high school. This allows schools and local communities to celebrate their FIRST students while spreading the word through social media platforms.
